BENEFITS OF LEASING YOUR LAND FOR A SOLAR FARM
Competitive lease rates and stable income for 30+ years
No property tax liability: we cover it all
Property stays in the family for generations to come
WHAT DOES THE IDEAL SOLAR SITE LOOK LIKE?
- 250+ acres
- Relatively flat
- Limited wetlands or floodplain areas
- Mostly cleared, agricultural or timber land
- Close to existing transmission infrastructure
Even if your land doesn’t meet all of these
criteria, it may still make sense for us to talk.
OUR FIRST STEPS WITH YOU
If you are interested in leasing your land, we will explain lifecycle of a solar project and answer any questions. We will also discuss lease rates and other primary deal terms (length of lease, equipment removal, property taxes, construction activities etc.).
Our team will arrange a site visit to view the property. We will do a preliminary evaluation of your property. The initial review looks at topography, wetlands, interconnection feasibility and other relevant matters.
SOLAR PROJECT PHASES
Once the lease agreement is signed, we will enter into the development term. During this time, we will conduct all necessary project-related studies and obtain state, federal and local approvals. We require only minimal access to your land, and you can continue to use your land as you normally would.
At this point full use of the leased land will be required for construction of the solar facility.
Upon completion of construction, the solar facility will be brought online and will start producing clean, renewable energy to power thousands of homes in the local community.
All project equipment will be removed and land will be restored to pre-construction condition.
